“An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.” Edward de Bono We are coming to the end of a successful guild year. We have shown much creativity in our quilts, listened to great speakers, and participated in wonderful workshops and interesting guild challenges. Thank you to everyone for making this all possible! During the summer, do not let those creativity juices dry up, because you all should be working on beautiful quilts for the show in October! At the guild meeting, we will be trying out a new chair arrangement. I have received some comments from you on our guild space, but I really need to hear from all of you in order to decide if we really need to need to change our meeting space. I am including a short questionnaire; there will also be copies available at the meeting. Please take the time to fill it out and turn it in at the June meeting. If you will not be able to attend the meeting, you can email me your responses. I want to have a pleasing environment for our members and also to continue welcoming new members. Thank you for your help. Keep on Quilting,
Vice President Programs and Workshops Jeanne Glick
It is June! And continuing with weather conversations, it sure doesn’t feel like it. Gray on gray weather gives us the opportunity to stay inside and quilt but it doesn’t do a lot to feed my inspiration.
This month we’ll have the election of officers – YEA! It’s no secret that while I have enjoyed the position of VP and the privilege of planning programs, it is time for someone else to have the pleasure. And it is a pleasure to find and choose activities and speakers to entertain and educate the membership. Thank you all for your help and support – it has been greatly appreciated and I couldn’t have carried on without you all. In addition, this is the UFO challenge reveal. How did everyone do? I finished a few projects that had been languishing and had provided too much challenge for me to wrap them up. I may not have finished as much as I’d hoped and listed, but I am so pleased to have finished up the older pieces that had intimidated me for whatever reason – waiting must have been the right thing to do as I truly enjoyed the process of finally finishing them.
See you all at the meeting on June 21! Jeanne Glick
